First Kiss...

5.04.2010

We decided to go to Lunaberry for frozen yogurt, and we ended up sitting with Elder Holland and his beautiful wife for an hour talking and laughing while Abigail gave them kisses the whole time. Naturally, I was giddy the rest of the evening.
Josh seems to be a magnet for Apostles and Prophets. Since being with him, I've had a few run in's with them, and he's met many over his lifetime. So hang out with Josh everyone...you might get to meet one in a random place. Most random: President Monson at Dee's Restaurant, very unexpected.
So this was the best way to spend an hour of our life. I'm sure Abigail will love this video one day.

  1. Thank goodness for modern technology otherwise who would believe this, right! A neat thing to have on record.

What kind of things did you talk about? you didn't mention anything and for a hour conversation there has to be something worth mentioning I hope.

  2. I call your experience with Elder and Sister Holland as one of those 'tender mercies' the Lord gives us so often.
I'm grateful He prompted you to the right place at the right time.
A kiss from Elder Holland had to be the icing on the cake.

  3. Definitely :)
Elder Holland started it off with asking if he could trade his yogurt for Abigail. So we spoke about her for a bit. He offered to pay for our yogurt. He asked how we met. School, work, LIFE. He told us about his schedule and how he's gone ever weekend. They just got back from Brazil and go to Manhattan this weekend. We talked about children; they had a stillborn apparently.
He actually lived in Josh's old stake in Mass, and he has family in Nampa.
She and I talked about how we were both tomboy's and did not like being girls whatsoever ;)
He was texting trying to find BANANAGRAMS. So we sent them to Barnes and Noble. We should have called Jon and Kristin and told them to go there so they could "run" into them.
It was really a nice, easy, fun conversation about random things. They were a joy to be around, really funny, and made us both giddy and happy. And she is such a beautiful woman.

  5. Very nice. There are a few things I like about the Utah Valley, the natural beauty and opportunities to see and hear apostles in ways you don't get if you don't live there. Aren't you glad you went for yogurt? :)
