4th of July and beyond...

7.22.2012

this won't be in order, but here we go.

4th of july is josh's favorite holiday. generally full of bbq's, swimming, hanging out with family. since we don't have family around, and we are in utah (meaning everyone else has family), it was more low key this year. but still nice and fun as a family. we at least got the swimming in, and enjoyed watching the fireworks across the valley from the balcony. loved seeing abigail's excitement over the fireworks.

my parents came into town and we had a wonderful few days with them. abigail was very, very excited about having them here, and especially excited to have dottie (the cat) spend a few days with us as well. this girls loves animals as much as her mommy and daddy.
we are excited to have them back here in a little over a month, when they pick up kevin!! can't believe it's been 2 years already.
we did some miniature golfing. again, abigail was thrilled. this was her first experience and as you can see, she enjoyed it. cheering us on with every putt.
the mini cake abigail and i made for independence day.
love this photo of abigail. she came out all dressed up one afternoon, with some fancy heels on as well. the girl knows how to walk in heels ;)
we had a picnic at memory grove park. which means DOGS. it's heaven for abigail, as she asks everyone to pet their pups. we ate good food, relaxed in the much needed shade, and enjoyed some frisby. note: the lid to our bowls work perfectly as frisbee's. 2 in 1! ;) just one less thing to pack up.
abigail took the photos of my mom and dad, and i think they are great.
also, mailie has started to wave! adorable. we walk in to see her, and up goes the arm with a wave of love and excitement.

abigail was completely wiped after the picnic. and i love mailie's big blue bright eyes in that photo.

photo on the left is abigail at 1 to 2 months old. photo on the right is mailie at 7. our little who's.

we need to get some more photos of our handsome man on here. so often he was at work. but i'm making it my mission to get more photos of him, and US together.

have a fantastic day!

  3. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ALL HAD SOME BIG FUN DAYS TOGETHER.
GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU FOUND A NEW PLACE TO MOVE TO THAT DON'T HAVE SO MANY STAIRS. IT WILL BE A LOT BETTER FOR THE GIRLS AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILL HAVE A YARD FOR THEM.
DOTTIE LOOKS LIKE HER HAIR IS GROWING OUT.
THE PICTURES ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED SO WE CAN SEE THE GIRLS GROW.
